Homework Week 9


Reading
Our Class RAZ Kids Reading Process.
2-3 Books per week

1. Choose a book (your levels or above) you would like to read that you have not read before. 

2. Listen to the book read to you.

3. You read the book out aloud to an adult. They can help you with any difficult parts. Focus on your reading fluency - change your voice at full stops, question marks, starting new sentences and pause at commas.

Excursion Update


Time to explore the outside world…

Excursion 1:
As part of our Geography and Science topic we will be going to the Balcatta Recycling Plant, to explore the process of our Rubbish, and how it is reused.

WHEN: Thursday 20th November 2014
WHO: The Year 4 children and about 5 parents
HOW: By bus
TIME: Leaving school at 9:30am and back about midday.
REQUIREMENTS: Full sports uniform, and closed shoes are important. Morning tea and drink bottle for excursion.

*Let us know if you can attend. Parental assistance is necessary!


Excursion 2:
End of Year Excursion to Kings Park and visit to Scitech to explore the World of Science.

WHEN: Wednesday 3rd December 2014
WHO: The Year 4 children and about 5 parents
HOW: By bus
TIME: Leaving school at 9:30am to drive to Kings Park Variety Playground and Ivy Watson Playground for a play and morning tea/lunch. At 12pm we will arrive at Scitech for a Lab visit, Slime Show and General exploration till 2:30, where we will drive back to school in time for the end of day pick up.
REQUIREMENTS: Full sports uniform, and Hat. Morning tea, lunch and drink bottle for excursion.
